Re:         Guest Lane Gate Arms, Formation of Committees, Payment Plan Guidelines and Modification of Entry Cottage Hours

Dear Otay Ranch Five Homeowner:

The purpose of this letter is to update you on what is happening within the Community.

Guest Lane Gate Arms

Gate arms have been installed at the guest lanes for each entry cottage. These arms were installed to provide safer entry into the Community forcing all residents and guests to stop prior to entering the Community allowing one car at a time to pass. These new arms will start operating on April 1, 2015. Those using the guest lane will be asked to stop and provide information to security to obtain a pass to park in the Community. If you are a resident in the Community and have not obtained a parking decal or RFID, you may want to do so before this time.

Formation of Committees

The Board of Directors for the Otay Ranch Five Community are looking for homeowners interested in participating in Committees to provide feedback and guidance to the Board. Some of the Committees the Board members are considering establishing are: social, landscape, sidewalks, pool, disaster preparedness and neighborhood watch. A form has been enclosed for those interested in participating. Once responses have been received, the Board will review and establish committees based on feedback provided.

Payment Plan Guidelines

Enclosed are payment plan guidelines updated for the Otay Ranch Five Community. Prior to be adopted these are being sent to the membership for a 30 day review and comment period. If you have any questions or comments regarding the draft policy enclosed, please submit them in writing to Management within 30 days for consideration of the Board of Directors in an upcoming meeting. Modification of Entry Cottage Hours

Concerns have been expressed by homeowners regarding heavy traffic hours entering the Community between 6pm and 7pm daily. In order to prevent backups at the entries, the Board of Directors have approved modifying the cottage hours to start at 7pm each day. Although the cottage hours have changed, please remember that it is each residents responsibility to ensure that any residents and guests have appropriate parking passes to park within the Community. If you enter prior to the hours of the onsite gate attendants, please make sure to call the entry cottages at:

Any calls to the entry cottages should be made by 9pm daily to prevent any citations or towing of vehicles.
